Remarks: We generally use alloy steel for engine valve as these valves are not exposed to the corrosive action of the hot exhaust gases. Therefore, these are capable to serve longer periods with trouble free operations. For the Exhaust Valve, Chromium Silicon is used which makes it resistant to corrosion due to high temperature and hot gases. They are made to suit many applications such as in Automobiles, Tractors, Industrial & Diesel Engines, Generators and Two Wheelers.
