In 1988, it further established four plants in automated toilet facility controls with optic electronics, LCD display module, wireless communication switching devices, and battery modules. In addition, it also engaged in the research and design of IC cards and related peripherals. In 1992, it formally became involved with the research and development of hardware and software in IC cards and became a major domestic supplier in IC cards and Reader Cards.
